The Dollar General Literacy Foundation recently awarded a series of grants totaling more than $50,000 to groups in Virginia. The Youth Life Foundation of Richmond received a $3,500 grant. The funds were part of more than $3 million Dollar General awarded nationally to help narrow the gap between learners’ needs and programs’ financial resources through the provision of books, technology, equipment or materials to youth education programs.
