Keiter, a certified public accounting firm, recently announced that Zachary Blanco and Asif Charania have been promoted to partner as of Oct. 1. Blanco joined Keiter as an audit senior associate in 2012 with prior public accounting experience at Reznick Group. During his tenure, he has worked in the emerging business and technology space as well as healthcare, manufacturing, distribution, and retail. Most recently, he launched work in the crowd-funding space. He participates on the Healthcare and Medical Services team and Emerging & Growth Business team, is a member of the Startup Virginia Advisory Council and is a mentor at Startup Virginia and various other accelerator and incubator programs where he supports the emerging businesses in Virginia. Charania started his career with Keiter as an associate in the Valuation & Forensics Services Group in 2008. He has attained the following specialty credentials: Accredited in Business Valuation and Certified in Financial Forensics issued by the AICPA, and Accredited Senior Appraiser issued by the American Society of Appraisers. In 2019, he was awarded the VSCPA’s Top 5 under 35 Award. He previously served on the AICPA’s National Business Valuation Committee and was a recipient of the “Standing Ovation” award issued by the AICPA. He is active with the VSCPA and AICPA and serves on the Finance Committee and Board of Directors for Board of Health Brigade.
