Academy Sports + Outdoors, located at 11861 West Broad Street, recently donated $3,000 to Unit To Back Outdoors, a nonprofit that benefits first responders who have been involved in critical incidents by providing outdoor adventures such as hunting, fishing, hiking or camping trips. On Oct. 27, the organization was able to shop the store for new outdoor gear and equipment such as tents, rods/reels, sleeping bags, coolers and backpacks. In addition, Academy Sports + Outdoors is offering military and first responders 10% off in-store and online purchases until Nov. 13.
