recently received a donation of computer equipment from Ohio-based American Electric Power for veterans in need. Donations included laptops, desktops, monitors, keyboards, and mice. In 2019, Tech for Troops delivered nearly $400,000 worth of refurbished laptops and numerous hours of workforce training to homeless and disabled veterans throughout the United States.

HCA Virginia hospitals recently earned 90 five-star ratings for the leading conditions and patient outcomes according to new research released by Healthgrades. Henrico Doctors’ Hospital earned a total of 45 accolades in the areas of cardiac, orthopedics, neurosciences, pulmonary, vascular, prostate surgery, gastrointestinal, appendectomy, critical care and bariatrics. Henrico Doctors’ earned six Best Specialty awards for Healthgrades America’s Best 100 Hospitals in coronary intervention, orthopedic surgery, joint replacement, spine surgery and prostate surgeries, and HDH earned Healthgrades America’s 50 Best Hospitals for vascular surgery. Healthgrades analysis shows that patients treated at hospitals receiving a five-star rating have a lower risk of dying and a lower risk of experiencing one or more complications during a hospital stay than if they were treated at hospitals receiving a one-star rating in that procedure or condition.
