Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer has been selected by Ashley Capital to provide exclusive leasing services for its new Class A distribution facility known as I-895 Logistics Center located at 7001 South Laburnum Avenue in Henrico County. The I-895 Logistics Center, located near Richmond International Airport, will encompass 583,100 total square feet of tilt-up concrete panels. The property will include 36-foot clear ceiling height, LED lights, an ESFR sprinkler system, 100 dock high doors, six drive-in ramps, and 178 spaces for trailer storage. Evan Magrill and Graham Stoneburner of Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer are the exclusive leasing representatives.


Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer recently announced the following lease transactions in Henrico County: The Tax Complex – renewed its lease of 4,325 SF of office space at 1650 Willow Lawn Drive (Dean Meyer represented the landlord and Michael A. Shaia represented the tenant); Continental Casualty Insurance Company – renewed its lease of 3,976 SF of office space at Westerre II, 3957 Westerre Parkway (Dean Meyer and Mac Wilson represented the landlord); AAA+ Home Health Care, LLC – renewed its lease of 1,500 SF of office space at Parham East, 2201-2221 East Parham Road (Amy J. Broderick represented the landlord).


The University of Richmond has earned a second STARS Gold rating in recognition of its sustainability achievements from the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education. STARS, the Sustainability Tracking, Assessment and Rating System, is a transparent, self-reporting framework for colleges and universities to measure their sustainability performance. The University of Richmond reported on how it brought online a 20-megawatt solar array that matches its entire electricity load with renewable energy, an 18-acre parcel that improves the quality of the water that flows through campus to the James River, and a comprehensive composting program as part of its Rethink Waste initiative. More than 900 participants in 40 countries participate in AASHE’s STARS program.


The University of Richmond has been named to The Princeton Review’s list of “Best Value Colleges for 2022.” The University also held onto its rank as No. 2 among private schools on the “Best Schools for Internships” list. The “Best Value Colleges” ranking annually names undergraduate institutions the education services company recommends as offering the best return on investment. The ranking is determined by a combination of academics, costs, financial aid, debt, graduation rates, and alumni career and salary data. The Princeton Review chose 209 schools for its 2022 list based on a survey of more than 650 institutions during the 2020-21 school year.
