Fourteen Richmond-area Jersey Mike’s locations will donate 100% of sales on Wednesday, March 27 to Special Olympics Virginia as part of the sandwich chain’s 14th annual nationwide Day of Giving. In addition, the two Jersey Mike's locations in Ashland will support Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU. Throughout March, customers have been rounding up and making donations at more than 2,700 locations throughout the nation during the Month of Giving, but on Wednesday, it’s Jersey Mike’s turn to give. Convenience store chain Sheetz plans to hire 350 people across its more than 100 locations in Virginia and will be conducting hiring events at all of its state stores Wednesday, March 27, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. To participate in interviews, prospective employees first must apply for a store position online.


Virginia Career Works—Capital Region will host Job Club, a networking group for job seekers that also teaches valuable job skills, every fourth Tuesday of the month.
