Hawaii Fluid Art is now open at Regency in Henrico. The art studio offers classes for all ages and abilities, including fluid art on canvas, resin tumblers, charcuterie boards, glass painting, and more. The studio is available for date nights, birthday parties and corporate events as well.
Virginia Beach-based Freedom Outdoors is planning to open a location at the former Colonial Shooting Academy, which closed last September, according to a recent report from WTVR CBS 6. The tactical range, used to teach shooters how to shoot in real-life situations, and the shoot house, used by law enforcement and others, will remain on the bottom floor. The second-floor range, lounge and sales area are being renovated. Memberships will be available and valid for all four of Freedom’s facilities including Richmond, Virginia Beach, and their two Atlanta-area locations. The facility will be located at 6020 West Broad Street in Henrico.
The Virginia Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) will hold a hiring event for the Bon Air Juvenile Correctional Center on Tuesday, March 18 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Beulah Recreation Center, 6901 Hopkins Road in Chesterfield. DJJ staff will help with completing applications, fingerprinting and background checks, as well as provide information and answer questions. Bon Air is Virginia's only youth prison, where young people convicted of serious crimes in juvenile court are sentenced for rehabilitation. For details, visit djj.virginia.gov.
Leadership Metro Richmond, in partnership with AI Ready RVA, will offer an online workshop designed to help local leaders harness AI’s potential to strengthen communities and better serve those in need. Through interactive learning and small-group discussions, participants will gain practical strategies for applying AI in real-world leadership contexts—no technical background required. AI Ready RVA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering AI literacy in the Greater Richmond region through community engagement, education and advocacy. Virginia Career Works—Henrico Center will hold a career fair on Thursday, March 27 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This event is for seasoned professionals, recent graduates, and anyone exploring a career change. Participants will discover employment options, connect with top industry recruiters, and gain insights into trending job markets.
