Blue Cow Ice Cream Co. will open its second Richmond location on Friday, March 24 in Short Pump’s Greengate Shopping Center. To celebrate its grand opening, Blue Cow will offer a free single scoop and unlimited flavor samples to everyone from 6 p.m. until close at 10 p.m. The first 50 people also will receive an ice cream pint koozie. This is Blue Cow’s fifth Virginia location with other stores in the Village Shopping Center at 7017 Three Chopt Road, Roanoke, Virginia Beach and Fredericksburg. Hours of operation will be Sunday-Thursday from noon to 9 p.m. and Friday-Saturday from noon to 10 p.m. Hours are extended to 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Ahmed Makhani of Henrico recently opened Nottoway Lanes Bowling Alley in Blackstone, Virginia. The alley celebrated with a grand opening ceremony March 10.
