Draper Aden Associates, an engineering firm based in Henrico County, recently announced that Robert Barclay has joined the firm as chief human resources officer. Based in the Richmond office, he will provide strategic and day-to-day operational leadership to the Human Resources and Corporate Health and Safety teams. Barclay also will serve on the firm’s Executive Team. Prior to joining Draper Aden, Barclay served as the vice president of administrative services and HR with Discovery Natural Resources in Denver, Colo. In this position, he was responsible for leading the Human Resources, IT, Corporate Security, and Office Administration teams. He also has held HR leadership positions with Ovintiv and Medtronic. Barclay earned a master of arts degree in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from the University of Minnesota and a bachelor of arts degree in Economics and Political Science from McGill University.


Domino’s franchise- and corporate-owned locations across the Greater Richmond region will host a hiring day Saturday, Mar. 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The 34 participating stores are looking to hire about 325 new team members. Open positions include delivery drivers, customer service representatives, assistant managers and general managers. Managers and supervisors will be at each participating store to conduct immediate, on-site interviews throughout the hiring event. Colliers International Virginia, LLC recently announced that Charles Wentworth has been promoted to executive vice president. Wentworth joined Colliers in 2012 to specialize in multifamily sales where he represents private, high net-worth, and institutional clients in the central and western Virginian markets. Since joining the firm, Wentworth has completed transactions totaling more than $1.3 billion. In addition to his promotion, Wentworth received Top Producer of the Richmond Office this past year and was inducted into Colliers’ 2020 Everest Club. The Everest Club recognizes the 10% of all Colliers professionals in brokerage across the U.S business based on revenue.


Restaurant Property Investors II, LLC recently purchased 1.2 acres at 1330 N. Laburnum Avenue, situated at the corner of Laburnum Avenue and Creighton Road, from Creighton & Laburnum, LLC for $690,000. A Taco Bell restaurant is planned at the site. David Crawford of Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer handled the sale negotiations on behalf of the seller.


Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer recently announced the following lease transactions in Henrico County: Surplus Freight – leased 15,000 SF of retail space at Staples Mill Shopping Center, 4026 Glenside Drive (Alex T. Wotring and James Ashby IV represented the landlord); and Whispers of Time – renewed its lease of 4,000 SF of office space at 5512 Lakeside Avenue (Richard L. Thalhimer represented the landlord).


The architectural and interior design firm PSH+ recently added to their group of partners. Thomas Freeman, Katie Thomas and Rachel Thompson joined the partnership at the beginning of the year.
