Eric Olsen

Draper Aden Associates, an engineering firm based in Henrico, recently announced that Eric Olsen had joined the firm as Unmanned Aerial Services (UAS) Team Leader. Based in the Richmond office, he will manage the firm’s UAS projects and provide strategic leadership, including expanded aerial services offerings. Olsen has over 13 years of experience in UAS. Prior to joining Draper Aden, Olsen served as an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Architect with Viper Drones. In this position, he was responsible for solving UAV hardware and software issues as well as performing duties related to sensor integration, EO/IR, interference isolation, and electrical, mechanical, software, and design engineering. Olsen also holds two patents related to methods for producing or capturing thermographic images from an aerial perspective.
