Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer recently announced that Mary Carson Burke had joined its commercial brokerage services team as client coordinator. She comes to Thalhimer from Grosvenor – Property Americas, where she was a co-investment coordinator. She has more than three years of experience in commercial real estate and is a graduate of Elon University.


New York-based Cannabist, the only state-sanctioned medical marijuana seller in the Richmond region, recently opened a dispensary in eastern Henrico, according to a report from Richmond BizSense. The new location at 4320-D South Laburnum Avenue, across from White Oak Village, joins existing an Cannabist store in Carytown and gLeaf (a Cannabist brand) stores in Short Pump, South Richmond and Colonial Heights. The stores sell pre-rolled joints, marijuana buds, edibles and other products for people who are registered patients in the state’s medical program.


The Virginia Department of Juvenile Justice will hold job fairs June 24, July 20, Aug. 17 and Sept. 21 at the Bon Air JCC Campus at 1701 Old Bon Air Road. Each hiring event will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Click here to register.


Virginia Career Works—Capital Region will host Job Club, a networking group for job seekers that also teaches valuable job skills, every fourth Tuesday of the month. Job Club will meet June 25 at Virginia Career Works—Henrico Center, 121 Cedar Fork Road, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. During Job Club, participants will review and update their resume, hone their job skills, navigate the job market, learn job search techniques, apply for jobs online, conduct mock interviews, receive access to WiFi and computers, and more.
