Chesapeake Financial Shares, the parent company of Chesapeake Bank, has been named to American Banker magazine’s top-200 community bank ranking in the United States, officials recently announced. The company was ranked No. 130 among 6,000 other community banks. The overall ranking is based upon an average of three years of return on average equity, which was a total of 11.07%. This is the 15th annual year Chesapeake has earned a top-200 ranking.
