The virtual center has a roster of mediators with a variety of expertise, and offers alternative dispute resolution services such as mediation, facilitation, negotiation, arbitration, conciliation, community dialogues, judicial/court mediation, conflict coaching and difficult family conversations. Meetings can focus on employer/employee issues, building group consensus, consumer disputes, homeowners’ associations, neighbor disputes and more. GRCMC also provides education and training. The organization can custom-design courses and make presentations to groups, governments, businesses and organizations. Fees for the education and training vary depending on the course. The nonprofit GRCMC welcomes donations, which are tax deductible; financial support will help GRCMC provide services for those with limited ability to pay. Layne Montgomery, owner of Davvero Gelato, recently announced that she will open a store in Lakeside, at the site of a former barbershop in The Hub. A native of Glen Allen, Montgomery fell in love with gelato on her travels to Italy, and makes her own oat milk base for the dairy-free, vegan gelato. She launched Davvero Gelato in 2020 and delivered pints of gelato to customers in Richmond throughout the pandemic.
