, a Henrico-based global manufacturer of products used to clean, repair, protect, and waterproof concrete and masonry structures, recently acquired Tecnorap Sistemas Construtivos, a leading specialty construction distributor serving Brazil. The Tecnorap management team under the direction of CEO Leonardo Coutinho will continue to operate Tecnorap under Alchemco's ownership and brand. Alchemco products are used on projects throughout North America, as well as on five different continents. In 2018, Alchemco acquired the formulas and assets of TechCrete, LLC, a creator and manufacturer of waterproofing products.


Lagos LLC recently purchased approximately 1 acre at 3209 and 3212 Mechanicsville Turnpike and 3107 and 3109 Yeardon Road from Michael Hamway, Trustee for $159,300. John Jay Schwartz, managing director of Have Site Will Travel, Ltd and The Man with Square Feet, represented the parties.

Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer recently reported the following lease transactions in Henrico County: Great Aspirations Scholarship Program, Inc. (GRASP) – leased 1,947 square feet of office space at ChildFund Building at 2821 Emerywood Parkway; Clifton Frames, LLC – leased 1,500 square feet of retail space at 2145 Staples Mill Road; and Carl Jones – renewed their lease of 1,025 square feet of office space at Parham East at 2201-2221 E. Parham Road.


HCA Virginia's Henrico Doctors’ and Parham Doctors' Hospitals have been recognized as "High Performing" hospitals for 2020-21 by U.S. News & World Report. Henrico Doctors' Hospital earned "High Performing" for heart failure, while Parham Doctors’ Hospital earned "High Performing" for knee replacement in recognition of care that was significantly better than the national average, as measured by factors such as patient outcomes. "High Performing" is the highest rating U.S. News awards for these types of care. For the 2020-21 ratings, U.S. News evaluated more than 4,500 medical centers nationwide in nine procedures and conditions. Less than a third of all hospitals received a high-performing rating. The U.S. News Procedures and Conditions methodology is based entirely on objective measures of quality such as risk-adjusted outcome rates, volume, quality of nursing, and other care-related indicators.
