Jeff Huffman

Draper Aden Associates, a Mid-Atlantic engineering, surveying and environmental services firm, recently announced that Jeff Huffman, PE, FASCE has joined the firm as leader of its Geotechnical Engineering and Construction Services Division. He will be based in the firm’s Henrico County office. Huffman brings more than 30 years of experience to DAA. As the Geotechnical Division Manager, he oversees the firm’s services in planning and executing geotechnical projects from conception to design and construction. Prior to joining DAA, Huffman served as the lead geotechnical engineer for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in the Huntington, W.V. District. Throughout his career, Huffman has held branch manager and geotechnical engineering positions at multiple engineering firms and companies. He also served as an Associate Professor of Engineering at Marshall University in Huntington, and as an expert witness on geotechnical failures. Huffman holds a bachelor of science degree in Civil Engineering and a master of science degree in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical) from Virginia Tech.

Robin Chamberlin

Colliers International recently announced that Senior Property Manager Robin Chamberlin was among the first to receive the ICSC Certified Retail Real Estate Professional Certification. The CRRP is a new, comprehensive certification for traditional and emerging fields within the retail real estate industry. Those who achieve it have demonstrated the knowledge of the core principles essential to the retail real estate industry.

Specialty pet supply retailer Pet Valu will host its ninth annual Patriotic Pets fundraiser benefiting the United States War Dogs Association through Patriot Day on September 11. Pet Valu customers can purchase limited-edition American flag pet bandanas for $5. Customers can also purchase a “paper paw” for any amount, which Pet Valu stores will display to represent the donations. Proceeds from the sales of the bandanas and paper paw donations will directly benefit the U.S. War Dogs Association, whose mission is to honor the memory of the service and sacrifice of the U.S. Military Working Dogs and educate the public about the invaluable service of these canines to the country. As one of Pet Valu’s most popular customer events, the Patriotic Pets fundraiser has collected more than $2.3 million for the U.S. War Dogs Association since its inception in 2010.
