Central Virginia Waste Management Authority (CVWMA) has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada for its comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR). The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and this is the 22nd consecutive year that CVWMA has earned the honor. The Award of Financial Reporting Achievement – awarded to the individual, department or agency primarily responsible for preparing the winning CAFR – was presented to Kimberly A. Hynes, executive director of CVWMA.

The Recognizing Children’s Gifts (RCG) Behavioral Health Network held a ribbon-cutting ceremony June 13 to celebrate the opening of its newest center, located at 8040 Villa Park Drive, Suite 100.
