The Richmond VCA Animal Hospitals' annual “Pennies for Pets” campaign is underway and will continue through June 30. The program is designed to raise awareness and funds for local and regional companion animal nonprofit organizations. VCA Total Care Animal Hospital, VCA Pets First Animal Hospital, and VCA Animal Care Associates will join with other local VCA animal hospitals to collect donations for companion animal nonprofits by encouraging clients to round up their transaction amounts to the nearest dollar. Customers donated more than $1 million in the first two years of the program. This year’s campaign supports Pets for Patriots, which helps veterans adopt pets and shelter animals find good homes. VCA Charities has set a goal this year of raising $1,500 from each participating hospital and $1 million nationwide. Donations are accepted at participating VCA Animal Hospitals in the United States and online at VCACharities.org.
