Dr. Kelly Gottschalk

The Virginia Veterinary Medical Association installed Wellesley Animal Hospital veterinarian Dr. Kelly Gottschalk as its president during its annual meeting in Roanoke Feb. 21. Gottschalk opened the hospital with her husband, Dr. Mark Gottschalk, in 2001. She served on the Virginia Veterinary Medical Association's executive board as the secretary/treasurer from 2005 to 2009 and helped craft legislation affecting the equine industry and equine dentists, some of which has been used as an example in other states. She earned the Paul F. Landis Veterinarian of the Year award from her VVMA colleagues in 2009. Gottschalk is a 1987 graduate of Texas A&M University.


Northeastern PA Center for Independent Living leased 2,127 square feet at 11551 Nuckols Road in Henrico County. Nash Warren represented the landlord, Commonwealth Commercial Partners, LLC.

Felicity Bobert

Peoples Tax and Business Services recently appointed Felicity Bobert as its assistant director. Bobert will assist Cathy Mueller, the company's director. Bobert joined Peoples Tax in 2014 as an executive-level tax preparer. She previously was employed in Richmond as a master tax advisor for a national tax firm. She is a former resident of Winston-Salem, N.C., where she was employed as internal auditor for North Carolina Baptist Hospital, and previously as accountant for Baptist Retirement Homes, and as accountant/business office manager for the Nursing Center of Oak Summit. She has a bachelor’s degree in teaching from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa, and a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of South Africa (UNISA).


HHHunt Communities was awarded the Community of the Year award for its Ridgefield Green community in Western Henrico at the Home Building Association of Richmond’s Major Achievements in Marketing Excellence (MAME) Awards.


HHHunt Homes won two awards at Home Building Association of Richmond’s Major Achievements in Marketing Excellence (MAME) Awards. They include: Best Model Home for its Waverly floorplan at Magnolia Green Townhomes at Valhalla; and Best Design Center for its homebuyer design gallery.


Henrico-based HHHunt Corporation recently announced plans to invest $428.4 million in the development of new residential and real estate communities across the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast this year. This investment represents the total value of new multifamily and senior living communities when complete as well as the development and construction of new home communities. HHHunt’s Apartment Living division will open three new communities this year in Virginia, including Abberly Waterstone in Stafford, Abberly Avera in Manassas, and Abberly Centerpointe in Richmond. The Senior Living division plans to begin construction on a new community in Virginia dedicated to memory care needs, Spring Arbor Cottage of Fredericksburg. HHHunt Communities is currently developing 10 communities and has three new master-planned and lifestyle-oriented communities scheduled to begin in Richmond this year. The company’s revenue surpassed $500 million in 2018 and has grown by over 70 percent in the past five years.


Rita’s Italian Ice will celebrate their 27th annual First Day of Spring event on Wednesday, March 20th, with a free Italian Ice giveaway. More than 600 locations are expected to give away more than one million cups combined of their classic Italian Ice. This year, the brand is offering free Rita’s Ice for a year to the superfan who posts a picture to social media using #RitasFirstDayofSpringContest beginning on March 20 through 11:59 p.m. EST on March 22. Fans are encouraged to be creative and all entries are welcome. Rita’s will select one fan at the conclusion of the contest. In addition to celebrating the First Day of Spring, Rita’s will launch their new Brookie Dough Cream Ice flavor on March 20.
