Rob and Sara McBride opened their third Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa Nov. 16 in Henrico’s West End near Regency Mall. Their other locations – Short Pump and Chesterfield – are the first and third busiest locations in Virginia respectively. The McBrides, who have spent the last 30 years in Richmond, left their jobs in the medical world to pursue business ownership.


Taylor Long Properties recently completed the following lease transactions in Henrico County: Eagle Bus, Inc. – leased 1,000 SF at Hungarybrook Shopping Center at 1282 Concord Avenue from Hungarybrook Investors, LLC; Area Congregation Together in Service dba ACTS – leased 2,130 SF at 1518 Willow Lawn Drive from 1518 Willow Lawn, LLC; and Nuha’s Corporation dba Adnan and Halal Market and Grocery – leased 1,360 SF at Lexington Commons at 10158 W. Broad Street from PWRE2 Lexington, LLC.


Commonwealth Commercial Partners, LLC recently reported the following real estate transactions: Virginia Council of Private Education – leased 861 SF at 8401 Patterson Avenue; Mutual of Omaha – leased 4,333 SF at 4870 Sadler Road; and George Mason Mortgage – leased 8,811 SF at Waterfront Drive.

Aubrey Moore

Aubrey Moore recently joined the CBRE|Richmond Property Management group as an associate real estate manager for the GSA management group. Moore previously worked for Parmenter Realty Partners as an assistant property manager for eight years, assisting the property manager on the SunTrust building located in downtown Richmond. She holds a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Virginia.


Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer recently completed the following lease transactions in Henrico County: The Hertz Corporation – leased 5,416 SF at 5851 Lewis Road; Newbridge Coin Laundry – renewed its lease of 3,380 SF in Newbridge Square Shopping Center at 6021 Nine Mile Road; Fleet Feet – renewed its lease of 2,373 SF in Post Office Square at 5600 Patterson Avenue; Party Store – leased 1,400 SF in Gleneagles Shopping Center at 10426 Ridgefield Parkway; GSA-FEMA to General Services Administration – leased 39,196 SF in Cox Court at 4461 Cox Road; Allan Myers VA, Inc. – leased 15,489 SF in West Shore III at 301 Concourse Boulevard; AIA Virginia – leased 3,053 SF in The Bookbindery Building at 2201 W. Broad Street; Irwin Marketing – leased 1,800 SF at 3751 Westerre Parkway, Suite C; and Casa Oaxaca – leased 1,575 SF in Starling Plaza at 1412 Starling Drive.

Doswell Family, LLC recently purchased the Dale building in the Forest Office Park in Henrico's Near West End for $3,100,000 from Dale Building, LLC. Will Bradley of CBRE|Richmond represented the seller. The building is a 38,649-square-foot, two-story Class B office facility.


HCA Virginia’s Henrico Doctors’ Hospital recently was recognized for the second year for excellence in stroke care in the recently released 2019 Hospital Quality Ratings by Healthgrades, the leading online resource for comprehensive information about physicians and hospitals. Henrico Doctors’ also was named among the Top 10 percent in the nation for treatment of stroke for the past two years and has been recognized as a Five-Star recipient for treatment of stroke for 16 years in a row. These achievements are part of findings recently released by Healthgrades and are featured in their 2019 Report to the Nation. The new report demonstrates how clinical performance continues to differ dramatically between hospitals regionally and nationally. Each year, Healthgrades evaluates nearly 4,500 hospitals nationwide for the most common inpatient procedures and conditions. Additionally, Henrico, Parham and Retreat Doctors’ Hospitals have been collectively named recipients of the Healthgrades Patient Safety Excellence Award for two years in a row; Top five percent in the nation for patient safety for two years in a row; and Top 10 percent in the nation for patient safety for two years in a row, 2017-2018.
