Aziz Ahmed

Draper Aden Associates has announced that Aziz Ahmed, P.E., ENV-SP, has joined the firm as the team leader of the Utilities Division and as a program manager. In his new role, Ahmed will lead the firm’s Utilities Division in engineering services related to water resources and water and wastewater utilities. His recent notable projects include utilities management and engineering for the City of Richmond and asset management work for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority. Ahmed has more than 21 years of experience providing engineering services to the utilities sector and other industries. He is a published author and notable presenter on water and wastewater system planning, design and optimization. He holds a master of science in civil engineering from Texas Tech University and a bachelor of science in civil engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology.


Monbro, LLC recently sold a building and lot currently occupied by Wells Fargo to an undisclosed buyer. The sale of the site, at the intersection of West Broad Street and Staples Mill Road, was handled by Catharine Spangler and Calvin Griffith of Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer on behalf of the seller. Jim Ashby handled the sale negotiations on behalf of the purchaser.

Kay Gotshall

Glen Allen-based Keiter has announced that Kay Gotshall, CPA, a senior tax manager with the firm, recently was awarded the 2018 Women Who Count Public Practice Professional award from the Accounting & Financial Women’s Alliance. Gotshall has over 23 years of private and public accounting practice experience.


Mike Boone, a sales representative with EXIT First Realty in Glen Allen, recently was honored with the Bronze Award by EXIT Realty Corp. International. The award was given in recognition of closing more than 25 real estate transaction sides during the production year July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018.
