Henrico-based HHHunt recently announced that Todd Kobayashi joined the company as chief financial officer. Based in the Richmond office, Kobayashi will oversee HHHunt’s corporate finance and accounting functions across all business lines, including corporate cash flow. He’ll work with all divisions to ensure debt and equity are available for new investment opportunities. Kobayashi also will advise HHHunt’s chief executive officer and chief operating officer regarding capital investments to support the company’s growth while providing strategic direction for financial commitments. He will succeed James A. Crowder, who will retire Dec. 31. Kobayashi has over a decade of experience financing and developing multifamily living, senior housing and student housing. Since 2013, Kobayashi served as CFO at Foutch Architecture & Development in Kansas City, a leading firm in the country in the redevelopment of historic buildings. Prior to his tenure at Foutch, Kobayashi served in several vice president roles at Great Plains Energy/KCP&L for nine years. He graduated Cum Laude from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, with a bachelor of science in business. He also attended the Harvard Business School, graduating from the Advanced Management Program, and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.


Henrico-based Eisenman & Associates, Inc. recently celebrated its 25th anniversary. After years in the hotel industry, Rick Eisenman saw an opportunity in the association management and meeting planning sectors, and subsequently founded E&A in 1993. In addition to offering association management services, E&A negotiates and secures hundreds of contracts a year on behalf of state, regional, national and international associations, corporations, and government entities, for the myriad of meetings they hold. Eisenman has received many awards since the company’s inception including the 2015 CEO Award of Excellence from the Virginia Society of Association Executives and the 2011 John Dufour Lifetime Professional Achievement Award. To commemorate the 25th anniversary, E&A unveiled a major brand redesign including a new logo and website – www.eameetings.com. Eisenman & Associates also recently welcomed Ariel Finno to the team as an account executive. Finno will specialize in full service association management and also will serve as the associate executive director for the Virginia Society of Association Executives.


VCA Charities, the nonprofit partner of the nation’s largest animal hospital network (VCA Animal Hospitals), has raised more than $565,000 to support regionally selected companion animal welfare organizations in the annual company-wide Pennies for Pets campaign. Locally, two VCA animal hospitals – including one on West Broad Street in Henrico – raised nearly $9,000 to donate to a service dog program for veterans. From April through June, VCA Pets First Animal Hospital and VCA Total Care Animal Hospital joined select animal hospitals throughout the state of Virginia to raise donations by encouraging clients to round up their transaction amounts to the nearest dollar or donate online. The local campaign raised more than $8,800 for Veterans Moving Forward, which provides service dogs and canine therapy services to veterans with physical and/or mental health challenges, at no cost to the veterans.


Lauren Cutter

HCA Virginia recently announced that Lauren Cutter has been named chief nursing officer for Parham Doctors’ Hospital. Cutter comes to Parham Doctors’ from HCA’s Reston Hospital Center, where she served as the associate chief nursing officer for the past year. Prior to her role with Reston Hospital Center, she was the director of nursing, medical oncology, and women’s health-GYN/ONC Outpatient Infusion Center at Chippenham & Johnston-Willis Hospitals. She has been with the HCA family since 2001 and has more than 16 years of nursing experience in acute care and outpatient settings. During her time at Chippenham & Johnston-Willis, she served in various nursing and leadership roles including staff nurse and clinical coordinator with the Maternal Infant Unit and as assistant director of Women’s and Infants Services, where she was largely responsible for leading the day to day operations, education and staffing structure of those departments. Cutter earned her master of science in nursing and bachelor of science in nursing from the University of Phoenix, Arizona. She is certified in inpatient obstetrics and is an active member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives, the American/Virginia Nurses’ Association and the American College of Healthcare Executives.
