All 20 Mattress Firm stores in the Metro Richmond region are hosting a toy drive for Mattress Firm’s Foster Kids initiative, which benefits local foster children and families. Through Sunday, Dec. 17 during normal store hours, Mattress Firm will accept new and unwrapped toys and monetary contributions to spread holiday cheer for foster children and families in need. All proceeds will be donated to The UP Center at the end of drive. Mattress Firm Foster Kids, a program of The Ticket to Dream Foundation, hosts six donation drives per year to collect essential items and raise funds to help thousands of local foster children. Donations from each drive are distributed to local nonprofit partner organizations. For details, visit www.MattressFirmFosterKids.org.

ECPI University recently was ranked second in the nation among career and technical colleges by Military Times in its "Colleges 2018" rankings, formerly known as Best for Vets. The rankings factor in the results of Military Times’ annual survey, the most comprehensive school-by-school assessment of veteran and military student services and rates of academic achievement. More than 600 colleges took part in this year’s survey. Of the hundreds of schools that applied, fewer than half received the Military Times Best: Colleges designation this year. ECPI's category includes community colleges and four-year career-focused colleges and universities.
