CBRE|Richmond recently represented DAAR, LLC in the recent sale of the 26,290 square foot, single-story office building located at 8090 Villa Park Dr. The office building was purchased by SWAG Partners, LLC, an affiliated entity with Boost Promotional Branding for $2.86 million ($109 per square foot). Draper Aden Associates, Inc.’s growth and need to relocate for additional space provided SWAG Partners, LLC the opportunity to purchase the building for Boost Promotional Branding’s new headquarters. Boost Promotional Branding is a woman-owned business that is one of the largest promotional products distributors in the U.S., with over 5,000 clients nationwide. Will Bradley and Matt Anderson of CBRE|Richmond represented the seller in this transaction along with Andrew Gibb of 7 Hills Advisors.


Beauty retailer Sephora opened a location inside the JCPenney store at Regency Mall May 4. Sephora also opened stores inside 12 other JCPenney locations in the U.S. on the same day.


Henrico-based Eisenman & Associates, Inc. recently announced several changes to its management team. In April, Zach Eisenman, son of the company’s founder Rick Eisenman, joined the team as an account manager. He is working partly with the Local Government Attorneys of Virginia and partly with many of E&A’s consulting clients. Zach holds a bachelor of science degree in Political Science from the University of South Carolina and was previously the director of risk reduction for Sigma Nu Fraternity. Tom Spong recently was promoted to chief operations officer as his role expanded to include overseeing the daily operations of the company. These responsibilities include client relationships and overseeing the staff of seven. Spong also remains the lead on E&A’s meetings consulting division supporting clients’ off-site meetings from site selection to contracting to on-site staffing. In addition, E&A has engaged Pixelstrike Creative, a Richmond-based digital marketing agency that specializes in telling a company’s story through design, development, and marketing. Pixelstrike is creating a new logo, style guide, and website for the company. The goal of the rebrand is to celebrate the company’s long history as well as create a new look and feel that’s more modern and more aligned to its growth strategy. The new brand is anticipated to be rolled out in mid-May.


Bo McKown

Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer recently announced that Bo McKown had joined its Capital Markets Group as a financial analyst in its Henrico office. McKown previously worked as an analyst for JLL’s Capital Markets Group' Institutional Investment Sales and Structured Finance/Joint Venture Equity teams in Washington D.C. McKown is a graduate of Washington and Lee University.


Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer recently announced the sale of 8820 Brook Road in Henrico County. 8820 Brook Rd Holding Company purchased the 14,000 square foot freestanding retail building situated on 0.98 acre from Louise M. Rock for $800,000 as an investment. Connie Jordan Nielsen of Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer handled the sale negotiations on behalf of the buyer.


Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer recently announced the following lease transactions in Henrico County: Johnson Controls Fire Protection – renewed its lease of 21,482 SF at 8555 Magellan Pkwy.; Paragon Private Health – subleased 3,360 SF in the Meridian Building at 1800 Bayberry Ct.; and AppleOne Employment Services – renewed its lease of 2,013 SF in Cox Court at 4461 Cox Rd.


Bon Secours St. Mary’s Hospital in Henrico, Bon Secours Memorial Regional Medical Center in Mechanicsville and Bon Secours St. Francis Medical Center in Midlothian recently were recognized with an “A” Hospital Safety Grade, a standard measure of patient safety, by The Leapfrog Group in its Spring 2018 Hospital Safety Grades. These facilities were among only 30 percent of hospitals nationwide to receive the “A” grade. The grade represents a hospital’s overall performance in keeping patients safe from preventable harm and medical errors. The Safety Grade includes 27 measures, all currently in use by national measurement and reporting programs.
