Viridiant has announced the winners of the 9th annual Sustainable Leadership Awards, which recognize the region’s premiere developers, builders, architects, government officials and other industry professionals for their work in advancing the benefits of sustainable building through the EarthCraft family of green building programs. Winners from Henrico County include: Old Dominion Innovations – EarthCraft Single Family Debut Award; and Richmond Metropolitan Habitat for Humanity – Habitat for Humanity Affiliate of the Year. Of the Top Ten High Performance Homes of the Year, Bain-Waring Builders earned #5 for a home on Grey Oaks Estates Court, #8 (tied) for a home on Grey Oaks Estates Run and #9 (tie) for a home on Stonehurst Estates Terrace, all in Glen Allen. Winners at this year’s event were awarded based on projects that were completed in 2017.


Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer recently announced the following lease transactions in Henrico County: Amsoil, Inc. – renewed its lease of 16,800 SF in Woodland IV at 530 Eastpark Ct.; Eservices, LLC – renewed its lease of 2,936 SF in Cox Court at 4461 Cox Rd.; Defenders, Inc. – renewed its lease of 1,570 SF in Parham Trade Center at 2500 E. Parham Rd.


MCR, the seventh largest hotel owner-operator in the United States, has acquired the 136-room SpringHill Suites by Marriott Richmond North Glen Allen for $10.85 million. The property is located at the intersection of I-295 and I-95, with close proximity to major distribution hubs and corporate office parks. The property features an indoor pool, fitness center, free Wi-Fi, 300 square feet of meeting space, a 24-hour business center and a 24-hour market. Guest rooms offer work areas, 37-inch flat-screen TVs and coffeemakers.
