Richmond Raceway recently named Richmond-native Michael Evranian as its new director of business development. Evranian joins RR from Pocono Raceway in Long Pond, Pa., where he was the senior director of partnership sales. At Richmond, Evranian will be responsible for securing new corporate sales partnerships for the track and managing existing partnerships. He will be part of supporting Richmond Raceway Reimagined, the $30 million infield redevelopment project by International Speedway Corporation, that is currently under construction. He also will assist with the corporate sales department. Prior to Pocono, Evranian was the manager of national sales at Richard Petty Motorsports in Charlotte, N.C. and earlier was the manager of business development at Watkins Glen International and Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. He began his career with International Speedway Corporation as an account executive at California Speedway.

Jay Shively

Jay Shively recently was named the director of development for the Henrico Education Foundation. The newly-created director of development position will help HEF reach its goals to grow revenues, increase grant funding and expand the capacity of the organization. Shively has nearly 20 years of nonprofit management and fundraising experience. He has an extensive fundraising background that includes major gift solicitation, special events, corporate sponsorships and donor cultivation. Shively comes to HEF from the National Multiple Sclerosis Society where he served as director of individual giving and leadership events for the Virginia and West Virginia region. He is a native Virginian and holds an associate’s degree in applied science from Piedmont Virginia Community College, as well as bachelor’s degrees in sociology and education from Mary Baldwin University. HEF’s mission is to prepare students for college, career and community by connecting philanthropy with strategic initiatives that strengthen public education in Henrico County.
