Virginia Barbecue, 6920 Lakeside Ave., will expand into the former Zosaro's Bakery location adjacent to its existing restaurants to accommodate more diners. The expanded space will open in mid-March and will double the restaurant's seating capacity. The space will be available for rental use for private functions as well. Virginia Barbecue also will be adding new daily specials soon. The Lakeside location is owned by Don and Hallie Booth, who will be celebrating their fifth anniversary at the location July 5.

St. Joseph's Villa recently received accreditation for the next four years from the Council on Accreditation, the nation's highest accrediting agency for the continuum of child welfare, behavioral health and community‐based social services. The designation means that the organization found the Villa's programs, services, administration and management to meet best practice standards and ethics requirements. The COA report gave high marks in particular to the Villa’s environment of service delivery, family involvement in treatment, financial reporting, staff development opportunities, risk management and quality of board leadership.

The addition of Erman will benefit not only property management services, but also brokerage and the development arm, Thalhimer Realty Partners. Erman is a University of Virginia graduate and an accomplished property manager and project manager with over 25 years’ experience in commercial real estate. Over her career she gained valuable knowledge and experience working for such firms as Kimco Realty, Armada Hoffler, and most recently Hackney Real Estate Partners, where she was a special projects coordinator.
