Henrico-based HHHunt has been named a 2019 National Green Building Standard (NGBS) Green Partner of Excellence by Home Innovation Research Labs. The certification recognizes single-family and multifamily builders and developers who have advanced green building in their communities and committed to voluntary, market-driven, third-party certification of high-performance homes.

To earn certification, a multifamily building must meet rigorous criteria in six categories: Lot & Site Development, Resource Efficiency, Energy Efficiency, Water Efficiency, Indoor Environmental Quality, and Homeowner Education.

HHHunt’s first multifamily community to receive NGBS certification was Abberly at Southpoint in Fredericksburg, Va., which opened in 2016. Since that time, every multifamily community by HHHunt has received certification, including Abberly at CenterPointe in Midlothian, Abberly Solaire in Garner, N.C., and Abberly Avera in Manassas, among others.
