Brick Road Coffee: RVA’s Premier Coffee Destination

Founded in 2020 by entrepreneur and developer Olaf K. Ross, Brick Road Coffee Company has quickly become a staple in the local coffee and food scene. Its mission is clear: to be the coffee destination of RVA, offering the highest quality coffee and a diverse handcrafted menu for Breakfast and Lunch.

Quality Beans and Italian Style Roasting

The café, located at 8055 Shrader Road, is committed to sourcing only the highest quality coffee beans and teas. To ensure the freshest and tastiest coffee, the founders have implemented an Italian-style roasting facility where every bean is roasted with precision and care. The drink menu offers a variety of hot, iced and blended drinks as well as imported teas and tea blends.

The café serves its coffee and speciality drinks in ceramic mugs complete with latte art patterns. Some non-coffee beverages include whole leaf teas, lemonades, smoothies, and matcha green tea lattes.

Beyond Coffee

Brick Road Coffee Company is not just about coffee. The menu includes various breakfast options, including honey chicken biscuits, handmade biscuits, sandwiches, bagels, and croissants. Lunch includes New Orleans-inspired Paninis (grilled cheese, chipotle chicken and BLT), wraps, Route 11 Chips and pickles. Snacks and sweets are baked daily and include muffins, cupcakes, scones, cookies, cheesecake, parfaits and affogato, an Italian-based coffee dessert.

Community, Family, and Local Support

Located inside a converted train car and the former Victoria Station Restaurant, the café aims to honor its history and longtime connection to Henrico County. The commitment is evident in its warm and welcoming atmosphere and its emphasis on sourcing and roasting locally and supporting small businesses.

“Brick Road Coffee Company is not just a café; it’s a community hub where locals can gather, connect, and enjoy quality food and beverages,” said Ross. “We believe in community, family and supporting small local businesses.”

The small, family-owned café offers a small gift shop full of T-shirts, mugs, teas and fresh roasted whole bean coffees in single origin and blended format sourced from all over the world. Only Arabica beans are sourced which are the top 1% of the world’s best beans. Amazing flavor and quality is what Brick Road Coffee does.

Catering and Events

Plan A Visit

For a morning pick-me-up, a casual lunch or a cozy place to work, visit the café Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Indoor and outdoor patio seating and online ordering for pickup are available. Delivery is not yet available.
