Breeze Airways will add new service between Richmond International Airport and Phoenix, Arizona, beginning Feb. 10, the airline announced Wednesday.

Breeze currently serves five destinations from Richmond, including: Charleston, South Carolina; Las Vegas, Nevada; New Orleans, Louisiana; San Francisco, California; and Tampa, Florida.

“With Breeze announcing nonstop service to Phoenix from Richmond International Airport (RIC) starting in February, a great strategic partner again supports the Airport’s mission of moving people, business, and commerce to advance the Richmond Region,” said Perry J. Miller, president and CEO of the Capital Region Airport Commission. “Prior to today, Phoenix was our second-largest unserved market, thus it is with great excitement we welcome this news on behalf of our customers and stakeholders.”

“We always look forward to providing more convenient and affordable service for our Richmond Guests,” said Breeze Airways’ President Tom Doxey. “This new route will give our guests a faster, more convenient way to Arizona.”

Some introductory one-way fares for flights between the two cities will be available for $99 through Oct. 24 (for travel by May 16).
