Bon Secours St. Mary’s Hospital recently unveiled its new “Children’s Dream Racer” at its Pediatric Infusion Center. The "vehicle" is equipped with video games and a CD/DVD player so that children receiving infusions can have a more enjoyable experience during the hours they spend at the hospital receiving treatment.

The racer was donated by the Virginia Association of Health Underwriters and was built by retired NASCAR car builder and Children’s Dream Racer founder Mark “Smitty” Smith. It also includes special adaptations, such as an IV stand and space for an oxygen container.
