Bon Secours officials have announced that they’ve named Bryan Lee as the new president of Bon Secours St. Mary’s Hospital and Bon Secours Richmond Community Hospital. Lee took over the roles Jan. 4. He is responsible for strategic leadership, growth and operational oversight at both hospitals.

Most recently, he served as the market president and chief executive officer of Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette, Louisiana. Prior to his role at Our Lady of Lourdes, he held leadership positions with health care systems in Florida, Tennessee, Alabama and Pennsylvania.

“The strategic growth of our Acadiana ministry is particularly notable under Bryan’s leadership. His thoughtful and collegial style will be missed. Our well wishes and prayers are with him as he makes this career move,” Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System Chief Executive Officer Richard Vath told KATC television in Louisiana at the time Lee announced his move last month.

Lee will report to former interim president of St. Mary’s Hospital Chris Accashian, who was named chief operating officer of the Richmond market in July 2020.

Lee holds a master’s of health services administration from the University of Alabama Birmingham, as well as a bachelor of science in health care management with cum laude honors from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
