Belmont to host regional First Tee 'Redmond Cup' event July 9-11

As many as 10 First Tee chapters from along the East Coast will descend upon Henrico's Belmont Golf Course July 9-11 for the three-day Redmond Cup, during which participants apply the life and golf skills learned in the First Tee curriculum.
The national law firm of Troutman Pepper will serve as the presenting sponsor for the 10th annual event.
The Redmond Cup will include a practice round on July 9, followed by two days of competition on Belmont's restored 12-hole A.W. Tillinghast layout July 10-11 and a dinner featuring keynote speaker Ryan Odom, the men's basketball coach at VCU.
"Supporting First Tee – Greater Richmond, generally, and the Redmond Cup, specifically, is a great way for us at Troutman Pepper to help young people in our community learn important life lessons that will benefit them, and their communities, for years to come," said Mike McCann, partner at Troutman Pepper and chair of the Board of Directors for First Tee - Greater Richmond.
