Henrico Delegate Lamont Bagby (D-74th District) Dec. 21 was elected chair of the Virginia Legislative Black Caucus.

"The number of black caucus members is at a historical high," Bagby said, "currently with 20 members. We will work collectively and tirelessly to fight for those that have a limited voice and are underrepresented, that is the legacy of the Virginia Legislative Black Caucus and we will continue that work.”

The Virginia Legislative Black Caucus is a bipartisan organization that seeks to voice the legislative concerns of blacks and other historically underrepresented groups throughout the state.
