Atlantic Union Bank has announced that it is taking applications from nonprofits and community organizations that are seeking funding to pay interns.

The bank's Future Community Impact Makers grant program will provide $4,000 grants to 30 such organizations in its service area, helping them to hire interns during the summer.

The majority of each grant ($3,600) will be allocated to cover the cost of salaries, while the remaining $400 will be used for associated management and recruitment costs, as well as professional development opportunities for the interns. The organizations that receive funds are responsible for paying employment taxes.
