Applications open for 2024 Virginia Youth Conservation Corps program

During the program, participants will help maintain trails, build basic structures, and complete park beautification projects. The program is led by adult crew leaders and park staff.
According to the Virginia State Parks officials, the program is not a summer camp and no prior outdoor work experience is required. However, participants should expect to work hard in the heat and spend their weekends exploring Virginia's nature.
Participants will be provided with room and board and a $750 stipend at the end of the two-week session. Applications are required to be filled out by the applicant and cannot be submitted by a family member or guardian.
