Amazon today launched its food delivery service – Amazon Restaurants – in the Richmond region.

Through the service, Amazon Prime members can have meals from a number of local restaurants. Customers can enter their addresses and zip codes online at www.amazon.com/restaurants or use the Amazon or Prime Now mobile apps to see which restaurants deliver right to their homes. They also can browse various menus, place orders and track the status of their delivery in real time.

Amazon is offering a $10-off special for customers on their first two orders when they enter the promo code “10PRIME10” at checkout.

“Richmond’s culinary scene is quickly growing and the city has been ranked as one of the top food destinations in the country,” said Jerry Rapisarda, general manager, Amazon Restaurants. “We’re excited that both residents and visitors can now enjoy local favorites from the comfort of their home – or wherever they are – using their Amazon account.”

Participating Richmond restaurants include local spots The Urban Farmhouse, Pasture, Bonchon, Casa del Barco, Lemon Cuisine of India and Gogi Bibimbap in addition to some national chains, including Bob Evans, Red Lobster, and Noodles & Co.
