Amazing Praise kicks off 48-hour giving blitz Tuesday

The Third Annual Amazing Praise, a collaborative online giving campaign, will take place September 25 at noon through September 27 at noon. Seventeen local, Christ-centered nonprofit organizations are uniting to raise $150,000 and further their collective missions in the community. A kick-off celebration will take place Sept. 24 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Hill City Church, 2101 Maywill Street.

The Amazing Praise launched in 2016 with four nonprofit partners, raising $55,000.  Interest in the 48-hour online giving campaign has spread throughout the nonprofit community and the number of faith-based organizations participating has more than quadrupled in size in two years.

The 17 participating organizations this year include Assisting Families of Inmates, Barnabas Center, Boaz & Ruth, Camp Hope, Christian Counseling and Training Center, Cru, EEPC: East End Pregnancy Center, GraceInside, Into the Neighborhood, Moments of Hope Outreach, Needle’s Eye Ministry, Richmond Center for Christian Study, Richmond Christian Leadership Initiative, RJI: Richmond Justice Initiative, Strategies to Elevate People, Urban Hope, and Youth Life Foundation of Richmond.

Sponsors of the 2018 Amazing Praise include Bates Orthodontics, Duff & Cox, Entrust Financial Credit Union,  Good Foods Grocery, Courtney Ludeman Interiors, Charlotte Shirey, Keller Williams Richmond, Unboxed Technology and Wheless Family Stewardship Fund.
