Registration is now open for classroom training to earn an FCC amateur radio license.  Licensed ham radio operators enjoy communicating and experimenting with other hams worldwide, using analog and digital technologies reserved only for FCC-licensed hams.

Classes meet one evening a week at Bon Air United Methodist Church. The cost for the class is $22 and study guides cost $20-$33 depending on the license class; testing fees and FCC license fees also apply. For the Technician class only, one member of a student's immediate family (such as a parent and child, or spouses) can attend free.

Once a student passes the exam, he or she receives one free year of RARC club membership.

For details and to register, visit https://rarclub.net/license/class-schedules/. Class size is limited and deadline for registration is Feb. 28.
