A U.S. Marine veteran and Richmond native has been presented with a $1,000 donation for his work with veterans in the area.

Mark Casper recently was honored with the donation from the personal injury law firm of Allen, Allen, Allen & Allen. Casper is the executive director of Tech For Troops, an organization that focuses on providing IT training, computer skills, and social support for veterans in the Richmond area.

The donation will be used to support the organization's mission.

"This Allen & Allen donation goes to everyone here at Tech For Troops, including our board of directors, our volunteers and our staff of proud veterans who served our country and continue to serve today," said Casper, who also was honored in 2018 as a member of Allen & Allen's 'Hometown Heroes' program. "This award helps validate all of the hard work we put towards our mission every single day. As a veteran myself it means so much to be able to help and give back to fellow veterans who need it most. I am also personally honored and excited that Allen & Allen has supported Tech For Troops in our mission to support the veteran community."

The donation was made as part of Allen & Allen's 'Allen & Allen Cares: Helping Our Heroes' program, which honors organizations and former recipients of the Allen & Allen Hometown Hero award. The program aims to support those in need and draw strength from empowering others.
