Allen & Allen announces 15th class of 'Hometown Heroes'

The personal injury law firm of Allen & Allen recently announced the 21 recipients of its 15th annual Allen & Allen Hometown Heroes Awards, including 13 from the Richmond region. The awards are designed to recognize locals who make a positive impact on their communities.

The Richmond-area recipients are:

  • Ann Taylor – Petersburg Library Foundation
  • Elizabeth Redford – Tablespoons Bakery and the Next Move Program
  • Jerome Early – Richmond Friends of the Homeless
  • Ellery Lundy – Broken Men Foundation
  • Josh Jones – Vet to Vet Vehicles
  • Pete Adler – project:HOMES
  • Sandee Smith – Unity Ride 4 Sickle Cell
  • Sandra Antoine – The Giving Heart
  • Shirley Scarborough – Cry Loud Spare Not Speak Up
  • Taylor Scott – RVA Community Fridges
  • Wade Runge – M3 Bridge Recovery
  • Michael Zetlan – Open Space Education
  • Janelle Ballard – River City Dreams

The awards will be presented to the honorees during an event in Fredericksburg July 10 and Richmond July 31. The event in Richmond will also be a 15-year reunion for previous Hometown Hero recipients.
