Allegiant will begin new nonstop air service from Nashville, Tennessee to Richmond International Airport June 14, company officials announced Wednesday. One-way fares on the new route begin at $55 in certain cases.

“We look forward to providing great low fares and friendly service to one of the Southeast’s most popular destinations," said Lukas Johnson, Allegiant senior vice president of commercial.

The new seasonal flights will operate twice weekly from Richmond International Airport to Nashville International Airport (BNA). With this addition, Allegiant will offer nonstop service to three cities from Richmond International Airport including: Orlando/Sanford, Florida and Tampa/St. Petersburg, Florida.

“We applaud Allegiant for adding Nashville to its offerings out of Richmond International Airport,” said Aubrey M. Stanley, chairman, Capital Region Airport Commission.

Allegiant offers travelers the chance to book rental cars and hotels through its agents, as well.
