Allegiant announces nonstop service from RIC to Punta Gorda

Allegiant Airlines has announced a new, nonstop route from Richmond to Punta Gorda. The service will begin Feb. 13, 2020, traveling to and from Punta Gorda Airport (PGD). To celebrate the addition, Allegiant will offer one-way fares starting as low as $65.
“Allegiant announcing new service to Punta Gorda in Southwest Florida is fantastic news as we approach our fifth anniversary of service with the airline,” said Tuckahoe District Supervisor Patricia O’Bannon, chair of the Capital Region Airport Commission. “With a February start, a warm-weather destination like Punta Gorda – Richmond’s fifth Allegiant market joining St. Pete/Clearwater, Orlando/Sanford, Nashville, and Sarasota/Bradenton – is a wonderful development for travelers seeking flight and vacation package options.”
