All veterans, spouses, some caregivers now eligible for COVID-19 vaccine

The Central Virginia Veterans Affairs Health Care System recently announced expanded eligibility for area veterans, spouses and caregivers to receive the COVID-19 vaccine through the organization. With changes brought on by the recently signed SAVE LIVES Act, all veterans, regardless of their character of discharge, all spouses of veterans, veteran caregivers and recipients of Civilian Health and Medical Program of the Department of Veterans Affairs benefits are now eligible.

Those eligible include anyone who served in the U.S. military; their spouses, including marriage, same-sex and common-law marriages’ s well as widowers of veterans; and caregivers who provide help to veterans with personal needs.

Visit https://www.va.gov/health-care/covid-19-vaccine/sign-up/introduction to register for a COVID-19 vaccine; a CVHCS appointment scheduler will call when appointments are available.  CVHCS is currently vaccinating veterans of all ages at Richmond vaccine clinics.
