All lanes reopen on Quioccasin Road near Regency Mall

Table of Contents

A section of Quioccasin Road has been restored to two-way traffic as improvements associated with a redevelopment project at Regency Mall near completion.

Quioccasin between North Parham Road and Starling Drive returned to normal conditions May 21 with two eastbound and two westbound travel lanes.

The stretch had accommodated only one lane of westbound traffic since September, when work started on the Regency property. Eastbound traffic had been detoured around the work zone by way of Starling, Fargo Road and Parham.

Several lane closures remain as work continues along Eastridge Road.

Eastbound traffic on Quioccasin merges into one lane at Parham. The left turning lane from Parham onto Eastridge also remains closed. A portion of Parham’s right northbound lane in the area is closed between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on weekdays.

Traffic signal improvements and a new entrance to the mall property from Quioccasin are expected to be functional by the end of June.
