AARP Virginia to hold telephone candidate forums with Brat, Spanberger

AARP Virginia will host two telephone town hall forums Sept. 18 and 19 with the two candidates seeking Virginia's Seventh District seat in the United States House of Representatives.
The organization will dial out to more than 30,000 households in the district at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 18 and 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 19. In a format similar to a radio call-in show, the candidates will have an opportunity to share their platforms with the voters, and the audience will be able to ask questions about issues that are important to them and their families.
Democratic challenger Abigail Spanberger will be the teleforum guest on Sept. 18, while Republican Dave Brat, the incumbent, will be featured on Sept. 19.
