A wedding set to music

Denise Laussade and Gill Sigmon, who met through the Richmond Scottish Country Dance club, were married June 15 in the Sculpture Garden at The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen. At the reception that followed, they performed a medley that included Renaissance, Scottish country, waltz, country line, and English country minuet dances.
Wedding festivities did not end with the reception, however. On the day after the ceremony, wedding guests and other dancers were invited to join the couple for a ceilidh, or dance party, which included lessons in traditional Scottish, English country and contra dancing.
