7 more cases of COVID-19 reported in Henrico schools this week

Seven more cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Henrico County public schools this week.

Two of the new cases were reported at Crestview Elementary School and involved people last in the building Feb. 4 and 5.

Other new cases were reported at:

• Short Pump Middle School (in a person last in the building Jan. 26);

• the Eastern Henrico Government Center, where the school system’s administrative offices are located (in a person last in the building Jan. 26);

• Pinchbeck Elementary School (in a person last in the building Feb. 3);

• Sandston Elementary School (in a person last in the building Feb. 4);

• Rivers Edge Elementary School (in a person last in the building Feb. 4).

The new cases bring to 245 the total number reported in 71 schools and school facilities or departments since Aug. 12.

With Sandston’s new case – its first – only Jackson Davis Elementary and Pocahontas Middle have yet to report a confirmed case of the virus.
