7 Henrico companies land on Fortune 1000 list

Seven Henrico-based companies have made the annual Fortune 1000 list of U.S.-based publicly traded businesses with the highest levels of annual revenue. The magazine released its list June 2.
The Henrico businesses on the list are:
No. 138 – Altria Group, Inc., a tobacco company that ranked No. 167 in 2020 – $20.84 billion in revenue
No. 311 – Markel Corp., an insurance company that ranked No. 335 in 2020 – $9.74 billion in revenue
No. 348 – Genworth Financial, Inc., an insurance company that ranked No. 364 in 2020 – $8.66 billion in revenue
No. 622 – ASGN Inc, a technology staffing company that ranked 652 in 2020 – $3.95 billion in revenue
No. 650 – The Brink’s Company, a security and protection company that ranked No. 649 in 2020 – $3.69 billion in revenue
No. 681 – Arko Corp, parent company of Fas-Mart and other convenience store chains that was not ranked in 2020 – $3.4 billion in revenue
No. 954 – NewMarket Corp, a fuel additives producer that was ranked No. 950 in 2020 – $2.01 billion in revenue
The top local company on the list was Goochland-based Performance Food Group, a food service distribution company that was No. 114 (up from No. 168 last year), with $25.1 billion in revenue. In total, 12 Richmond-area companies made the Fortune 1000 list.
