6 Henrico schools report COVID cases Nov. 20

Six more cases of COVID-19 were reported Nov. 20 at Henrico school facilities, bringing to 81 the total number of cases reported since Aug. 12 at 48 school sites.

Five of the six schools that reported cases that day had not previously experienced a case; only Glen Allen High School had, and the case was its third in nine days. The newly reported case there was from someone last on campus Nov. 4, while the earlier two cases involved people on site Oct. 28 and 29.

The other schools to report cases Friday were:
• Brookland Middle (someone last on the campus Nov. 9);
• Godwin High (someone last in the building Nov. 12);
• Hermitage High (someone last in the building Nov. 10);
• Longdale Elementary (someone last in the building Nov. 19);
• St. Mary’s School of Practical Nursing (someone last in the building Nov. 16)

Late last week, cases had been reported at Greenwood Elementary Nov. 17 (a person last in the building Nov. 11) and Baker Elementary (a person last in the building Nov. 17). It was the first case for Greenwood but the second for Baker.
