55-year-old Henrico man dies in West Broad Street crash

Eugene Robert Coleman Jr. was trying to turn across the street just before 10 p.m. from a shopping center to the eastbound lanes, according to police. His vehicle was struck by a vehicle traveling west, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators believe speed may have been a factor in the crash, and charges may be forthcoming. The eastbound lanes of West Broad Street were closed at Coppermill Trace for several hours after the crash.
